How to mount unmounted rubber stamps using EZ Mount

When you purchase unmounted stamps, you receive the rubber die only. The stamp die is rough-cut and untrimmed. The foam mounting cushion and mounting block are NOT included. The stamps will not be ready to use until you mount them. It is far cheaper to buy rubber stamps unmounted, and UMs are often easier to store than mounted stamps.

Mounting your own stamps is very easy!

ACRYLIC MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS:

What you need:

• Acrylic mount slightly larger than the stamp die
• Unmounted rubber stamp die
• EZ Mount Cling Foam
• Good quality scissors such as Kai

1. Peel off the protective sheet from the sticky side of the EZ Mount Foam cushion. Press the stamp die onto the cushion. Trim close to the image with a sharp scissors angling the cut away from the die. The EZ Mount Foam cushion should extend beyond the die slightly.
2. Remove the protective sheet from the cling side of the EZ Mount Foam cushion. This will allow for the temporary mounting of the stamp onto your acrylic blocks. The stamp die will "cling" to the acrylic mount surface.
3. If the stamp die doesn't cling well, clean the surface of the acrylic mount with window cleaner and dry well.

You can also easily convert your wood mounted stamps to the EZ mount system! Please see our guide titled
